I know it's been a while, and here is part of the reason.....we totally redid this space and built in shelves and bookcases and drawer space. It's still not really finished but as close as we can come right now. It's a pleasure to work in and there seems to be endless storage(if that's possible).
....Now if I can just get over this artist's block things would be grand....I'm open to all suggestions....tell me how you got over yours....I know I'm not the first one to have it, but it sure feels empty.
Hey Lauren, Happy NEW YEAR! I just stopped by to see what you've been up to! Miss chatting. I had a creative block the size of New York for most of 2010 and it was awful. Forcing it didn't work, nothing really seemed to work it just showed up one day out of the blue not long before I was about to give up.

ReplyDeleteI find that when I'm blocked, I need to make an appointment with myself to sit in my studio for 30 minutes. I don't necessarily need to be working, I just need to sit there.
The other thing I do is to bring out something from my project graveyard. Having taken some time away from a project gives me perspective, and I can go forward with it.
